History of tRUE NORTH LODGE
True North Lodge began life in the 70’s as a Timeshare property in what used to be known as the ‘Great Glen Water Park’. Years of less than consistent maintenance left it in a Time-Warp and crying out for a new lease of life.
We purchased the Lodge in November 2020 and poured our hard work, love, tears & snotters into this new business venture. It’s now the Cosy Wee Highland Getaway that you see today.

We are Caroline & Dave and we purchased True North Lodge in November 2020. Having worked in Tourism & Hospitality with SYHA for many years and we thought it was about time we branched out on our own.
We share a love and appreciation for the Great Outdoors; we love being active, and socialising & sharing our time with family & friends. We have walked the West Highland Way and all 1000km of the Camino de Santiago. We’re keen runners with several half marathons and a marathon under our belts (ok that last bit was just Dave). We’ve been to many of Scotland’s nooks & crannies in our trusty wee Motorhome. By far however, our favourite time is spent in the mountains during winter teaching Snowboarding having both qualified as Instructors in 2007.
We are well travelled, outdoorsy folk who love Scotland and we look forward to helping you to plan your perfect stay at our cosy wee getaway in the Scottish Highlands.
